Whilst going along the polder roads, at cross roads and in the most unexpected places you see them. Shrines built for the Virgin Mary. On this cycle route you pass lovely little buildings and monuments of quiet devotion.

Nice to know:
In the province Zeeland the main religion is protestant. Zeeuws Vlaanderen and de Zak van Zuid-Beveland are an exception. Most people in these regions are Catholic.
