West Zeeuws-Vlaanderen is a country region. Farms and villages dot the landscape. It is quiet and peaceful here. In medieval times it was not always so. This area was often in the centre of floods and wars. 350 years ago man began to in polder this land.
Nice to know:
The farmers were well travelled in the 17th and 18th centuries. Their wealth is still visible today in the old farm houses.
