Schurvelingenroute: 11 km

General

At the top of Goeree you will find many schurvelingen. Schurvenlingen are sand walls that were made in the medieval ages to keep cattle in and divide the land. It also kept the dusty sand from settling on properties. Many of the original schurvelingen have disappeared. On this route you will pass some schurvelingen around Ouddorp, in nature area De Kleistee.
