1. SP leave at the manege Grol.
2. Right on the Stoofweg
3. 1st road left.
4. Pass through a country estate, ATTENTION: as this is private property, please collect all manure.
5. At the T-junction turn left (on the right you can see the castle).
6. After leaving the estate turn left on to Laone.
7. 1st road right, Scholderlaan
8. End of road turn left, Duinweg. PP.
9. End of road turn left onto Oude Moolweg.
10. At the crossroads go straight across
11. At junction keep right.
12. Then left on to Jan van Renesseweg.
13. 1st road right on to Zeeanemoonweg
14 End of road turn left, Capelweg.

CAPELWEG
The chapel which used to stand in the dunes which was named “ons lief vrouw op zee”(our beloved lady on the sea) has long ago disappeared. On the map of 1300 the location is given but very little is known about it. It is possible that this street is named after the chapel. Left and right you will see a row of so called `geschenkwoningen’(gift houses). These were, after the floods donated by Norway. They were very comfortable well insolated homes with showers and flushing toilets. Real progress for that time. The properties were spacious. The residents were and still are very happy.

15. End of road turn right, to Hoogenboomlaan.
16. At the crossroad turn left then continue along Kabbelaarsweg.
17. 1st road right to Hoge Zoom.
18. 1st road left partly paved road, Saresweg,(alternatively: continue on Hoog Zoom until you reach a barrier, turn left at the T-junction turn right, Lage Zoom, and then follow 24).
19. End of road on to Lage Zoom.
20. At the T- junction turn right onto Armhoekseweg.
21. At the T- junction turn left, Hoge Zoom
22. 1st road keep right, Breedsteweg.
23. 1st road right half paved, Biesterveldwegje at the end of the road at the entrance to the wood is a PP.
24. End of road left, Vroonweg.
25. End of road right (right of way) Kloosterweg.
26. 1st road left, Vertonsweg. (Alternative route: straight through to Nieuw-Haamstede and back)
27. At the crossroads keep right, Moolweg. (Alternative route: keep left and via the village of Haamstede onto the Burghseweg)
28. End turn right, Burghseweg, go over to Kerkstraat.
29. Pass the church on the right and follow the Hogeweg.
30. You pass the Bosweg (right). No admittance for menroute Boswachterij (horse and carriage) Westerschouwen. (Only admittance with a key)
31. End of road turn right, Kraaijensteinweg follow to the roundabout at the beach entrance. PP.
32. Continue Steenweg.
33. 1st road right, Kampweg, after the parking area go up the paved dune path.
34. At the top go left in the direction of the flood protection works.
35. End of road turn left.
36. At crossroad turn right through the tunnel.
37. On the T-junction turn Right Cauersweg.
38. Continue left on the Westboutweg and Suikerdijk. P.
39. At junction turn right Oude Havenweg, continue right and ride round back to the crossroad. PP.
40. At the junction turnright, and right again. PP,P and restaurant.
41. Ride round the harbour masters office building.

BURGHSLUIS
The office of the harbour master of Burghluis is a refreshing example of recycling. Originally this was the lamp room of the Westerschelde lighthouse. In 1979 the top of the tower was replaced, because the new light installation did not fit. They lowered the top down but thought it a pity to destroy it. So they decided to use it in this way. So Burghsluis has a unique office.
As you drive around you have a lovely view of `het monument voor de redders van Burghsluis’( the monument to the saviors of Burghsluis). Between 1855 and 1945 a lifeboat was stationed here. Members of the local family Van der Klooster were the rescuers of people and for ships which got into danger at the mouth of the Oosterschelde.
Miems van Citters from Burgh was the artist who designed the monument, a silhouette of a man wearing a sou- wester carved on a large block of granite. Simple but clear. In 1989 it was placed near the station, where the men worked.

42. Return to the crossroads turn right, Nieuwe Havenweg and Plompetorenweg. PP. There is at the Plompetoren an information board.
43. Continue left, Karremansweg and Stolpweg. You pass PP in “Schelphoek”.
44. At the T-junction left, it is safe to cross over and follow the cycle path. BP. Garage and air.
45. 1st road right, Koetenissenweg.
46. 1st road right, Lockershofweg, PP with art work. Alternative route: shorter way: continue on Kooijmansweg, and to 55.
47. End of road left, Zuidwelleweg. PP you pass a veterinary practice.
48. Left or right round the church, enter Oude Stoofweg.
49. T-junction left to Wellandweg.
50. At the end right, Kooijmansweg, then follow cycle path.
51. Straight through at roundabout, Kooijmansweg.
52. At crossroads turn right, Lage Zoom.
53. Straight through at roundabout, recommend you follow cycle path.
54. At next roundabout go left.
55. You arrive in Renesse, Manege Grol.
