You’re welcome to come and enjoy the finest we have in Zeeland. Please do so sensibly, avoid any bustle and keep your distance: at least 1.5 metres. Make sure you'll reserve your accommodation, restaurant, beach cabin or museum visit in advance.
How many day trips does it take to know Zeeland? Hundreds! There’s always something more to discover. Our museums and experience centres will envelope you in our culture and our background. Or romp and chomp your way through the day at a play park, indoors or outdoors. Grab that day of shopping in Zierikzee or Goes. Or go shopping plus dining in eclectic Sluis.
The natural way
While away your day frothing – at the feet – along the beach at the Zwin nature reserve, hunting the local rarity: ancient sharks’ teeth. Do that wet-wellie-walk on Sint Annaland or the Verdronken Land van Saeftinghe reserve. See nature at work in the dunes, or hire a yacht and get real familiar with our magnificent waters.
Or let someone else design your day. Visit an attraction park. Deltapark Neeltje Jans combines learning and fun – go inside a pillar on the Oosterschelde barrier. Impressive. Or climb up the outside. Awesome. Or steam away, choo choo, on a real tank engine, through the countryside. Heading back in time, from Goes to Borsele.
See yet another side of Zeeland, from the skies. Sightseeing flights are run by Aerolin from Zeeland Airport. Looking down, you’ll see what we mean about Zeeland being a land in the sea. Now, about that adrenalin rush. Tandem jump out of a plane, in the good company of Skydive Zeeland’s experienced instructor. (http://www.skydive-zeeland.nl/en/).
Cities by the hour
From your Zeeland base, you’re close to some big cities. Within an hour you’re in Rotterdam, Breda or Antwerp and their rafts of shops, terraces, cinemas and theatres. Or stay closer to ‘home’, and round off a day in Vlissingen with some movies at Cinecity.
